Idoia Murga-Castro has been member of the research group in History of Art, Image and Artistic Heritage at the Instituto de Historia, Centro de Ciencias Humanas y Sociales, Spanish National Research Council (CSIC) between 2007 and 2011. She has been visiting scholar and Ph.D. occasional student at The Courtauld Institute of Art (London), Columbia University (New York) and the Institut National d'Histoire de l'Art (Paris). Before joining the CSIC, she was intern at the Musée d'Orsay (Paris) and the Peggy Guggenheim Collection (Venice). She also graduated in Classical Dance at the Royal Academy of Dance and the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing.
Moreover, she is a member of the research project by the Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation "After the 2nd Republic: Networks and Exchanges in the Spanish Art From 1931 Onwards" (ref. HAR2011-25864) as well as of the International Dance Council CID-UNESCO.
Currently she is exhibitions coordinator at the Instituto de Cultura, Fundación MAPFRE.
